Basic Technician Certificate in Rural Development Planning – [BTCRP]

The basic Certificate programme in Rural Development Planning is Intended for persons who will assist in preparing plans, implementation monitoring and evaluation of development activities particularly at lower levels. After completion of this course the graduates are expected to be competent in the application of skills and knowledge in a range of activities in Rural Development Planning some of which are non-routine and can be able to assume operational responsibilities.

Form Four Entry Qualification:

Holder of Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (CSEE) with at least four (4) passes in any subjects except religious subjects

Direct Entry Qualification:

Basic Technician Certificate in Development Administration and Management – [BTCDAM]

The Basic Technician Certificate in Development Administration and Management intends to impart knowledge to students on the theories and practices of Development administration and Management. The programme is specifically aimed at enabling learners to: Apply planning, monitoring and evaluation, business opportunity identification techniques for administering and managing community development activities, Apply data collection techniques, communication and office management skills for administering and managing sustainable development activities, Utilise basic principles of economics, mathematics and statistics, accounting and microfinance knowledge and skills to resource and manage implementation of community development activities and Integrate administration and management, local government structures and good governance knowledge in administering and managing sustainable development.

Basic Technician Certificate in Community Development – [BTCCD]

The overall aim of Basic Technician Certificate in Community Development is to enhance awareness of the basic Community Development approaches and processes. The NTA Level 4 programme is designed to equip candidates with basic knowledge and skills and enable them to become effective change agents who will have the capacity to collaborate with other extension staff to spearhead development at grass root level.

Basic Technician Certificate in Rural Development Planning-LZC – [BTCRP-LZC]

The basic Certificate programme in Rural Development Planning is Intended for persons who will assist in preparing plans, implementation monitoring and evaluation of development activities particularly at lower levels. After completion of this course the graduates are expected to be competent in the application of skills and knowledge in a range of activities in Rural Development Planning some of which are non-routine and can be able to assume operational responsibilities.

Diploma in Development Planning – [DDP]

The Ordinary Diploma Course in Development Planning is intended for persons who will assist in conducting research, coordinating planning activities, designing and preparing development plans, monitoring and evaluation of plan implementation. After completing this course, the graduates are expected to be competent in the application of skills and knowledge in a broad range of development planning activities most of which are non-routine.

Form Four Entry Qualification:

Holder of Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (CSEE) with at least four (4) passes in any subjects except religious subjects

Direct Entry Qualification:

Advanced Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (ACSEE) with One Principle Pass and One Subsidiary Pass in core subjects

Eqivalent Entry Qualification:

Basic Technician Certificate (NTA Level 4) in Development Administration and Management, Development Planning, Rural Development Planning, Business Administration, Community development, Human Resources Management, Records, Archives and Information Management, Procurement and Supply Management, Local Government Administration, Local government Accounting and Finance, Journalism, Education, Community Health, law, Information and Communication Technology,marketing, Economics Development, Logistics Management, International Relation and Diplomacy, Public Relations, Public Service and Management, Social Work, Agriculture, Livestock, Public Administration, Accountancy, Marketing, Local Government Administration, Records Management, Project Planning, with an average of B or Pass or GPA of 2.0

Diploma in Development and Administration Management – [DDAM]

The Ordinary Diploma in Development Administration and Management intends to impart knowledge and skills to students on a broad range of Development Administration and Management most of which are non-routine. The specific objectives of the programme are to enable learners to:- Mobilise and manage human resources, Plan and Manage implementation of community and private sector projects to ensure sustainability, Mobilise and Manage Financial Resources for Implementation of Development Projects and Conduct Review of the development Plans.

Holder of Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (CSEE) with at least four (4) passes in any subjects except religious subjects

Direct Entry Qualification:
