POSTGRADUATE DIPLOMA IN COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT (PGD CD)
This is a two semester program. The programme is designed to equip candidates with advanced knowledge and skills in Community Development so that they effectively facilitate self-help community development initiatives. Specifically the programme aims to: provide professional training in community development, facilitation approaches and strategies; enable candidates apply participatory community development methods and techniques; and enable candidates to appreciate the role of community development in the economy. Postgraduate Diploma in Community Development (PGD-CD) was approved by the Senate in 2004.
Graduates of this course are able to do the following, among others: Design, in a participatory manner, rural and urban development promotion strategies; Evolve strategies to mobilize community resources for community development; Build self-sustaining community development programs; Assume senior leadership positions in community development – oriented programs in the government, Non-governmental organizations and other institutions; Qualify for further training; and Employ themselves and compete favourably in the market. Admission Requirements for this programme include: An Advanced Diploma from recognized institutions of higher learning or a Bachelor degree from recognized institutions of higher learning.
BACHELOR OF ARTS IN COMMUNITY ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT (BA CED)
This is an existing programme since the year 2008. It is a full time three years programme under the semester system. Applicants for BCED should have obtained a Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (CSEE) or equivalent with passes in five principle subjects, obtained prior to sitting for the Advanced Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (ACSEE) or equivalent; and at least two principal level passes and a total of at least 4.5 points in principle subjects in the Advanced Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (ACSEE); University Qualification Framework (UQF) level 6 (Ordinary Diploma) and NTA level 6 (ordinary diploma) that is relevant to the programme and should have at least four passes at Ordinary level (NQF level 4). Recognition of prior-learning (RPL): Applicants should have an average of a B+ grade in relevant courses.
This programme was designed to equip undergraduate students to deal with complex issues in the national and international community economic development. Graduates in this programme will be able to perform community economic functions in community development. The program nurtures experts in the field of procurement and supply management who are expected to be competent and ethical Procurement and Supply Professionals. Applicants should have obtained a Bachelor Degree with a grade point average of lower second and above or Equivalent Qualifications. The equivalent qualifications include CPSP, MCIPS, CPA, ACCA and other professional qualifications that will be reviewed and considered to be relevant at the time of application. This is a full time three years program under the semester system. There are six semesters in the three years of study.
Direct Admission Requirements for BSc. BICT are: Credit Passes in Mathematics and English at O-level plus at least two principal passes at A-level in Accountancy, Economics, Mathematics, and Commerce, the sum of which should not be less than 4.5 points. Applicants with principal passes in any of the following subjects; Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Geography and English language may be considered provided that the sum of points in two principal passes are not less than 4.5.
Equivalent qualification for the BSc. BICT is Diploma from MoCU or from any other accredited institution of higher learning or from recognized Professional Examination Boards or a first class Certificate of Information Technology from a recognized institution.
DIPLOMA IN BUSINESS INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGY (DBICT)
This is a full time two years program under the semester system. There are four semesters in the two years of study.
Direct Admission Requirements for DBICT are: Form Six leavers with at least one principal pass and one subsidiary pass in any of the following subjects: Economics, Accountancy, Mathematics, Commerce, Physics, and History/Biology/Chemistry/Geography. The sum of points should not be less than 2.
Equivalent qualification is holder of a one-year or more Certificate of Information Technology of MoCU or holder of one-year or more relevant certificate qualifications from recognized academic institution/examining board provided they have FOUR passes at O-level Secondary Education.
CERTIFICATE IN INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY (CIT)
This is a full time one-year program under the semester system. There are two semesters in the one-year of study.
Direct Admission Requirements for CIT are: holder of Form Four certificate with four passes in in Mathematics, Bookkeeping, Commerce, Physics, Geography, Chemistry, History and Biology.
Equivalent qualification are: Form IV Certificate holders with ATEC I, or with NABE stage I or II, or with Pre-foundation certificate of the National Board for Materials Management (NBMM) OR any other equivalent qualification from a recognized Institution.
MASTER OF BUSINESS MANAGEMENT (MBM)
This is a full time and evening mode eighteen (18) month program under the semester system. There are three semesters in the 18 Month of study. Applicants MBM should have obtained a Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (CSEE) or equivalent with passes in five approved subjects, obtained prior to sitting for the Advanced Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (ACSEE) or equivalent; and at least two Principal level passes and a total of at least 4.5 points in relevant subjects in the Advanced Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (ACSEE), At least a Second Class Bachelor’s degree from recognized institution of higher learning in a relevant field of study; or A Pass Class Degree with postgraduate diploma in a relevant field or Postgraduate Diploma in re-lated field of study from a recognized institution of higher learning. BACHELOR OF ARTS IN ACCOUNTING AND FINANCE (BA AF)
This is a full time three years program under the semester system. There are six semesters in the three years of study. Applicants BA-AF should have obtained a Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (CSEE) or equivalent with credit in three approved subjects, obtained prior to sitting for the Advanced Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (ACSEE) or equivalent; and at least two Principal level passes and a total of at least 4.5 points in relevant subjects in the Advanced Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (ACSEE). For those to be admitted with Equivalent Qualifications, it should be at least a Diploma in accounting and related diploma programme from an accredited/recognized institution of education with GPA of 3.0 and above and must have four credit passes in relevant subjects in their O” level – Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (CSEE)

The program nurtures experts in the field of procurement and supply management who are expected to be competent and ethical Procurement and Supply Professionals. Direct Admission Requirements for BSc. BICT are: Credit Passes in Mathematics and English at O-level plus at least two principal passes at A-level in Accountancy, Economics, Mathematics, and Commerce, the sum of which should not be less than 4.5 points. Applicants with principal passes in any of the following subjects; Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Geography and English language may be considered provided that the sum of points in two principal passes are not less than 4.5.
Equivalent qualification for the BSc. BICT is Diploma from MoCU or from any other accredited institution of higher learning or from recognized Professional Examination Boards or a first class Certificate of Information Technology from a recognized institution.
DIPLOMA IN BUSINESS INFORMATION AND COMMUNICATION TECHNOLOGY (DBICT)
This is a full time two years program under the semester system. There are four semesters in the two years of study.
Direct Admission Requirements for DBICT are: Form Six leavers with at least one principal pass and one subsidiary pass in any of the following subjects: Economics, Accountancy, Mathematics, Commerce, Physics, and History/Biology/Chemistry/Geography. The sum of points should not be less than 2.
Equivalent qualification is holder of a one-year or more Certificate of Information Technology of MoCU or holder of one-year or more relevant certificate qualifications from recognized academic institution/examining board provided they have FOUR passes at O-level Secondary Education.
CERTIFICATE IN INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY (CIT)
This is a full time one-year program under the semester system. There are two semesters in the one-year of study.
Direct Admission Requirements for CIT are: holder of Form Four certificate with four passes in in Mathematics, Bookkeeping, Commerce, Physics, Geography, Chemistry, History and Biology.
Equivalent qualification are: Form IV Certificate holders with ATEC I, or with NABE stage I or II, or with Pre-foundation certificate of the National Board for Materials Management (NBMM) OR any other equivalent qualification from a recognized Institution.
MASTER OF BUSINESS MANAGEMENT (MBM)
This is a full time and evening mode eighteen (18) month program under the semester system. There are three semesters in the 18 Month of study. Applicants MBM should have obtained a Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (CSEE) or equivalent with passes in five approved subjects, obtained prior to sitting for the Advanced Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (ACSEE) or equivalent; and at least two Principal level passes and a total of at least 4.5 points in relevant subjects in the Advanced Certificate of Secondary Education Examination (ACSEE), At least a Second Class Bachelor’s degree from recognized institution of higher learning in a relevant field of study; or A Pass Class Degree with postgraduate diploma in a relevant field or Postgraduate Diploma in re-lated field of study from a recognized institution of higher learning.
