Mode of Admission and Admission Requirements

Candidates may be admitted into the undergraduate degree programmes of the Faculty in any of the following three ways:-

(a) Through the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination

(b) By Direct Entry

(c) Through Inter-University Transfer

Each Department within the College has its own specific requirements for admission to its programmes and these are specified in the appropriate section of the handbook. In general, the entry requirements for the programmes will conform to the minimum Unified Tertiary Matriculation requirements for admission to the University.

Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) Entry Mode

In general, the entry requirements for the programmes will conform to the minimum Unified Tertiary Matriculation requirements for admission to the University. Candidates seeking admission into any programme of the Faculty must possess at least credit level passes in five subjects which include English Language, Mathematics and three other relevant subjects at the Ordinary level (SSCE, GCE, NECO) in not more than two sittings.

B.Sc. (Human Anatomy) : English Language, Mathematics and three other relevant subjects at the Ordinary level (SSCE, GCE, NECO) in not more than two sittings.

B.Sc. (Physiology ): English Language, Mathematics and three other relevant subjects at the Ordinary level (SSCE, GCE, NECO) in not more than two sittings.

B.MLS (Medical Laboratory Sciences): English Language, Mathematics and three other relevant subjects at the Ordinary level (SSCE, GCE, NECO) in not more than two sittings.

B.NSc. (Nursing Sciences): English Language, Mathematics and three other relevant subjects at the Ordinary level (SSCE, GCE, NECO) in not more than two sittings.

MB.BS. (Medicine and Surgery ): English Language, Mathematics and three other relevant subjects at the Ordinary level (SSCE, GCE, NECO) in not more than two sittings.

B.Sc. (Microbiology) : English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology and Physics at the SSCE or its equivalent.

B.Sc. (Biochemistry ): English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology and Physics at the SSCE or its equivalent.

B.Sc. ( B.Sc. Computer Science): English Language, Mathematics, Chemistry, Biology and Physics at the SSCE or its equivalent.
