The Supreme Council of the University determines, according to the proposals of the college councils, after taking into account the opinion of the various colleges, at the end of each year, the number of Egyptian students who have been accepted into each college or institute from those who have passed the high school stage or any equivalent certificate. The Supreme Council of each college can, in accordance with the admission requirement, determine the number of accepted foreign students. After that, a decision was issued by the Minister of Education and Higher Education to direct students to different faculties.
Basic requirements for undergraduate students:
1 . The applicant must have a high school diploma or its equivalent. Students are accepted according to their academic grades, taking into account their geographical location, in accordance with the decisions of the Supreme Council of Universities and Colleges Councils. Students who have obtained a certificate from commercial secondary schools are accepted into the faculties of commerce. In the faculties of agriculture, students who passed the agricultural secondary school examinations with high grades are accepted. In engineering colleges, students from technical schools are also accepted. In the Higher Institute of Nursing, those who have passed the General Nursing Certificate are accepted. In faculties of education and girls’ faculties, holders of educational diplomas, and those who passed the Technical Institute and the like, are accepted in some faculties as well.
2 . The medical examination must prove the applicant’s good health and freedom from diseases to resume the studies he is applying for in accordance with the principles set by the Supreme Council of the University and the colleges of universities.
3 . If the applicant is a worker, he must submit a work permit to prove a permit to continue his studies by a director at work, whether he is working in a governmental or non-governmental job.
4 . The applicant must have a good reputation.
5 . Applicants may be among those who have a BA or BA or its equivalent in various branches of a BA or BA from other colleges in accordance with the terms of the internal regulations of each college or institute. A decision from the university president or deputies is needed in this case.
6 . Every student who wishes to join the university must be enrolled in only one college. A student who joins more than one college at the same time will be rejected.
Part-time study (part-time):
The applicant can study part-time in the faculties of arts, law and commerce or any faculty specified by the Supreme Council of the University to obtain a bachelor’s degree or a licence.

Bachelor’s stage:

1 – To have a bachelor’s degree from a recognized university or an equivalent institute.
2- Satisfying the general requirements stated by the College Council and announced by the University Council.
• Master’s and PhD students must conduct research activities and submit a thesis as partial degree completion.
Graduation stage:
• A bachelor’s degree is granted by the university to students who have completed the required number of academic years equivalent to the average grade point average by passing it or higher.
• Master’s and doctoral degrees are granted by the university to graduate students whose thesis has been accepted by the Defense Committee and approved by faculty members and university councils.
